Measuring for Benissimo Granite Solutions™ is so simple because components are specifically designed to fit most standard counter tops with little or no cutting. Unlike standard granite field tile, Granite Solutions™ components are slightly oversized to fit most standard 24” counter tops.

STEP 1 Measure and sketch your counters

To get started, simply measure the wall and make your counter layout, noting any cutouts for refrigerators, sinks, stoves, etc. It can be helpful to use graph paper, with one square representing one component. Download the Benissimo Project Planner sheet that includes this.

Some helpful hints:

Note where cabinets meet walls or other barriers - this will affect the components needed.
Cuts should be made in the center portions across a sink or stove, if possible.
Bars and overhangs require additional support - see Installation for more details

STEP 2 Calculate needed components

Note the components needed for each area and total the pieces. Just like any finished material, it is important to order enough the first time. You will need to order some additional pieces to accommodate any mis-cuts. Different countertop configurations require different amounts of overage; in general, overages are approximately 5% more.

Tip: Most jobs require at least one additional bullnose and field tile.

STEP 3 Customize the Backsplash with Trims and Accessories
